The larval carpet glial cell migrates inwards during pupal development and its nucleus comes to rest beneath the lamina, proximal to the marginal glial cells (Edwards et al., 2012. There are two of these cells per hemisphere, found on the dorsal and ventral edges of the lamina (Edwards et al., 2012. (Edwards et al., 2012)
